“God always has another perspective of your circumstance that will position you to overcome.”
Faith sometimes is not going to be a “feel like” moment. Sometimes it won’t be a joyful, hopeful moment. Sometimes faith calls for an act of determination, a chin set square, a face set like flint and eyes that speak trust. In these times, faith is a stronger action of warfare in the moment that brings about attention.
Over the years, I’ve been taught many different things about faith but only one has ever stood out and made it’s mark upon my heart. That faith is a place. It is not an emotion or action on our part. It is a place of heart, mind and spirit. In this place setting, faith can begin to take form into what is called for in that season.
Once the place of faith is established our thought process and actions from there on out determine our response in the waiting and the receiving of our miracle.
We know that our God, our Lord Jesus Christ is a God of miracles. We can not have miracles with out a placed faith. The Hebrew word bara is frequently used of God creating something out of nothing. At times, this is just what we need a ‘bara’ miracle. However, a ‘bara’ God creative miracle will not suddenly happened with out setting ourselves in a place of determined faith.
Psalm 77:14 NIV “You are the God who performs miracles. You display your power among the peoples.”
Just recently (a few days ago), our household had to come to a determination place of faith. We needed a ‘bara’ miracle. We’ve known this place of faith many times past and God has always, always pulled through “just in time.” We don’t ever forget but I can’t say we’re not human. You know what I’m talking about – frustration, fear, and doubt sneak in the back door and we’re so occupied with trying to find a solution that our thoughts become not His. Nothing is wrong with using wisdom to see what can be done but when we become stressed and anxious and not resting in trust an avalanche of emotions begin.
Psalm 78:9 The Message Bible (MSG) “The Ephraimites, armed to the teeth, ran off when the battle began. They were cowards to God’s Covenant, refused to walk by his Word. They forgot what he had done marvels he’d done right before their eyes. He performed miracles in plain sight of their parents in Egypt, out on the fields of Zoan. He split the Sea and they walked right through it; He piled the waters to the right and the left. He led them by day with a cloud, led them all the night long with a fiery torch. He split rocks in the wilderness, gave them all they could drink from underground springs; He made creeks flow out from sheer rock, and water pour out like a river.”
I like what Bishop Tony Miller said, “God always has another perspective of your circumstance that will position you to overcome.” But it’s not until we’ve exhausted all avenues that we cry out and say, “Okay, God…we’ve done all we can do. Now we need a miracle!” That is like saying this, “Okay God! We’ve done all we can do in our power – show us what you got!” A slap in the face – don’t you think?
Matthew 13:58 NIV “And He did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.”
We are continually on the instructional road of faith. Learning that we have to stop, pray, listen and then wait. It’s in the waiting, that if our faith is not in that place of determination we can become double minded.
Needless to say – after coming to that determined faith place and saying, “God, today we need a miracle. Today we need a ‘bara’ miracle.” Within 15 minutes of our prayer a call came in and His miracle was complete. Following, the Lord’s WOW! to us. Peace had time to settle, we entered into an encouraged place of faith and began to pray again for a few other things on our list. Wouldn’t you know, an hour later His creative, majestic, powerful hand, brought about two more miracles!
I do believe He was getting our attention. Saying, “Trust me, trust me. Know that I am God. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I know your comings and goings. I know what you have need of and when the exact time of that need will be given. Rest in me and know because of my love for you and you’re place of unwavering faith, you’re place of determined faith, I am here. My hand is holding yours and we’ll walk this one side by side.”
Heal and Restore
You may be in need of a miracle for your health, finances, relationship or loved one. Be encouraged to trust and know that He is a “Good God” all the time and not just when things are going well. No matter what your circumstance is at the time know that He sees, He knows, He hears and He will see to it that His daughter has what she needs. Nothing is too small to ask of Him and nothing is too great that He can not do. “Impossible” is not in God’s vocabulary!!
Psalm 34:1-9 (MSG) “I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with his praise. I live and breathe God; if things aren’t going well, hear this and be happy: Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out. God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears. Look at him; give him your warmest smile. Never hide your feelings from him. When I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot. God’s angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness.”
Activate and Create
I thank you for your goodness. Yes, you are Good God. I know this road of life is not easy and sometimes I’ve chosen to act on my own strength. For this, I ask forgiveness for not coming to you and trusting. I hand over my life’s peril and now trust in Your will, Your way. No longer will I continue to slap You in the face with my distrust and ‘my’ way. I lay it down. I lay it down……
In all that is whirl-winding around me I will choose to stand in a place of determined faith. No matter what words are being said against me I will choose to place my faith on Your word for my situation. No matter what the doctor’s report states I will choose to place my faith in that, “By Your stripes I am healed.” No matter how my relationship appears to be with my ___________ (husband, child, friend) I will choose to place my faith in restoration by Your hand, what You have called it to be. No matter what my finances may be I will choose to place my faith in that You will provide for my every need. No matter where my loved one is or what they are doing I will place my faith in that You are the God of Salvation.
