It is time . . . . Time for the walls to come down
Time for a new season to spring forth,
Time for new birth in new ways – fresh revelation, transformation
Time to become a flourishing tree bearing luscious fruit
Time to soar with life, refreshing truth
Awaken O Spring!
Lay no longer dormant. Restore my soul –
Alive my heart – ground once frozen over – harden upon the surface –
Upon the dawn, breaks forth a new light melting away layers upon layers.
New birth, new life awaits – Ripe for the choosing open and restore this vessel.
Oh, heart of mine arise with exuberant joy grab hold of this new day.
May life leap into it with abundant rays of God’s love.
Psalm 85:10-13 “Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and your land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway.”
Restoration can be a sweetness, a caressing as the layers begin to peel back. Layers brought on by pain, hurt, jealousy, disappointment, fear, rejection, comparison, shame, addiction, or quilt. Healing comes to bear fruit and unlock the heart. Restoration and healing of the mind, body, and soul as the Spirit ignites transformation, opening up the vessel from one which life flows.
As you sit here now, choose an area in your life that cries for healing. Just one, the one that has plagued your mind these past few days, weeks or months. Dig deep to the root of it. Once one area is healed, it may complete the restoration process to the other areas or simply begin the pulling back of the layers.
Relationships: Marriage, children, friendships, parents, co-workers, etc.
Mind and Body: Weariness, brokenness, disappointments, rejection, shame, quilt, thoughts, words spoken or unspoken, reactions, responses, addictions, comparison, jealousy, envy, judging others, gossip, etc.
Spirit: Refreshing, passionate relationship with Christ, wanting more than where you are now, renewal of commitment
Writing our thoughts allows us to see ourselves outward instead of seeing what we perceive within. There is not a ‘formula’ for the healing process, just the acknowledgment of the areas that need the Lord’s hand begins the process. Of course, we need to bring into captivity those thoughts that are not of Him – earthly, human, physical, worldly thoughts – that will hold back the healing process. Emptying ourselves at His feet, recognizing He is the only one that can bring transformation.
He is after our heart, our devotion. His perspective of us encompasses our present, our past, and our future. Grab a hold of His healing power now and know He has our best interest at heart. Position yourself so God can en-passion your heart towards Him. As He takes residence in that area that needs healing you’ll begin to see that your decisions, words, thoughts and responses are different from before. Your choices will be begin to be a mirror image of Him and reflect that He is the priority in all that you are. Choosing God and His ways deepens our devotion to Him.
Proverbs 3:6; 5-12 The Message “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best.”
