Someone’s Fighting for You and Me . . .

More than 2,000 years ago someone was thinking of me, fighting for my life, fighting for my soul, fighting for my bloodline. Fighting for my health, my finances . . . fighting for my destiny.

Christ thought of me even then – before my heartbeat sounded, before my flesh began, before the atmosphere of this world would break with my entrance cry.

Christ knew me before I existed and He believed at that moment when He was fighting for me, taking the keys of death, hell, and the grave – that I was worth each hammer of the nail, each stripe branded into His flesh, each thorn piercing His brow – He believed I was worth His life.

So, yes, He fought, He won, then He rose again and now He is alive and living in me.

I am living because He is alive.

He the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, Creator of this Universe, the Living God thought my life mattered – no matter what He knew I would do to mess it up; He thought I was worth all He endured.

He embraced me with His blood of love, with His arms of grace and mercy and then washed away every bit of sin I would do before I even breathed my first breath.

At the beginning He knew me and knew I would be His – for this I live a life abandoned to Him, Jesus Christ.

He wanted to give us a way to reach Him –

He wasn’t going to let the enemy of our souls reign over His Creation. He paid the price because His love goes that deep to remove all we have done – Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.

He knew that going in – He knew that coming out

John 10: 9 – 11  “I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out (freely), and will find pasture. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His (own) life for the sheep.”

1 Corinthian 15:55-57  “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power (upon the soul) through (the abuse of) the Law. But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory (making us conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
