Grace ~ LIVE TODAY ~ 2013 ~ Day 9/365, Week 2/52

Grace, God’s unmerited favor and spiritual blessing, will be given to us as we step out in faith.

Have you ever noticed how faith and grace work hand in hand?

As we go about our journey there are mishaps, misunderstandings, mistakes, and temptations.  All of these are avenues that will delay us, distract us, and even some will try to destroy us.  Stealing our motivation and ‘fitted’ plan for our lives.  (Galatians 2:8,9)

It seems that no matter the difficulty of an assignment.  No matter how high the wall is built.  No matter how long the road before us is set – when we take the first step of faith in obedience at whatever is asked or purposed for us – God’s grace is there to help us reach our destination.

We have to remember what God says about His plans for us.  We have to trust His voice, His word, and His promise spoken over our lives.  I am not saying, that just trusting is enough or that trust blows all our obstacles out of the way.  I would be lying if I said that.

What I am saying is, we have to take the initiative of believing, standing in our faith, walking out in obedience all that is purposed – no matter what comes to stop us.  When we do this . . . when we act in faith from a heart of obedience, God’s grace is there to carry out His plan.

The destination is that much closer.

Those distractions and temptations will come to snicker in our ears telling us we are fools, that we will never succeed, or that we are not good enough.  However, when they do, like any great solider there has to be a strategic plan set into place to fight back and regain your ground.

I want to talk about just a few today –

  • Think about what you are thinking about. Do not allow your mind, thoughts to control your actions.
  •  Think before you act.  Consider the final outcome of a bad choice.  How will you feel afterward?  How will your choice affect others in your life?
  •  Have a support person always ready to listen, give sound Godly counsel, and who is not afraid to speak the truth.  Do you have someone in your life that gives you a voice of reason, accountability, and stability?  Does this person help walk you through your successes, your failures?

“Your choices of today will present themselves to you tomorrow – whether positive or negative – make right choices now – today and you can be sure tomorrow will be a good one. Good choices create positive life changing habits.”  ~ Insightful Reflections of the Human Kind by Jennifer Goodson © 2012 All Rights Reserved.

John 10:10 – 11
“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy.  I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).  I am the Good Shepherd.  The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His (own) life for the sheep.”

 Suggested Reading:  Galatians 5:16,17

I encourage you today to begin thinking about a strategic plan for your success in what you have purposed to do.  You are worth the time it takes to think about each step and make sure that you have a safety net supported by those you can trust to aid you as you move forward.

LIVE TODAY! and . . .

In regard to your comment, “Think about what you are thinking about.”

Colossians 3:1-2–If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

Philippians 4:8–Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
