40 Days of Change ~ Change List 2018
#1 be present
#2 remain standing
#3 pray for wisdom in all things
Ephesians 1:17 – 19 “(For I always pray to) the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation (of insight into mysteries and secrets) in the (deep and intimate) knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), And (so that you can know and understand) what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength . . . “
Your goal for the months to come will only be a reality if you learn to not speak these two words, “I Can’t”. The ‘what-ifs’ are endless, but allowing them to rob you from what actually could be, is only setting yourself up for failure. Remember, the process of change is your goal – always place it in your mind’s eye. As you do this, your goal will begin to time itself to your heart’s rhythm.
That is what we call a DETERMINATION to see CHANGE for the end result to produce a better YOU, a you DETOXED from old habits, destructive mindsets, negative relationships, etc. Your CHANGE LIST of 2018 is a map to freedom and strength in Christ.
There is a journey to every desire of the heart. We must plan, organize our path in order for success to come. There will be days that ‘life happens’ and our view ahead of us will stray.
BUT God is always there to remind us of our goals. Why? Why does He care about such things? Believe it or not, He is usually the one who had input into your desire at the very beginning. His desire for His children is to see them succeed, to help them follow the road to their destination. He will not condemn or cause confusion in the journey. We do enough of that ourselves.
He will be there each time, when we are ready for the calm, to piece us back together, place our feet back on the path. So, we are able to pick up, right where we left off.
Keep your goal always in front of you. Begin by writing it down – make it a tangible reality – place it where you will see it every morning as you begin your day.
Remember, do not allow little bumps in the road to keep you from achieving what you have set your heart and mind on doing.
The journey is worth it!
Keep smilin’ ~ Jenn
